HAAS WERKS was established as a facility to produce the finest in military technology. It has expanded to include many divisions, including R&D, and a customizing shop. The founder, Herr Haas, has maintained a fondness for the custom job, and can often be found working in a Mechbay. The Vixen LAM
Gustav Haas spent his early years as a Mercenary, taking command of his own Company, The Hucksters, and for a time, of a Mercenary Regiment. There he became particularly fond of his Phoenix Hawk LAM unit, The Black Sheep. Retiring to develop HAAS WERKS, Gustav paid special attention to the restoration of Land Air Mechs. This put him in a unique position for a relationship with the Wolves in Exile.
New leadership of the Jade Falcons re-evaluated their defunct LAM Project, but with nearly nothing left to work with, they resorted to a whole new chassis, that of the Vixen. They eventually produced the Clans first native LAM. Unfortunately they were still little better at cross-training a pilot for this unique mech. The Wolves in Exile saw a real opportunity and scoured the Inner Sphere for LAMs to engage the Jade Falcons in a Trial of Possession. In their preparations, they turned to HAAS WERKS to restore their Phoenix Hawks, Wasps, and Stingers, and to the Black Sheep as a training Lance.
Succeeding in their Trial, The Wolves in Exile engaged in a joint venture with the HAAS WERKS to produce the new Clan LAM, and to develope furthur models to Wolf Specifications. This is a Project and relationship very dear to Herr Haas.
